Text vs. Cover Stock
Text Stock is thinner paper, used for the inside pages of books. Think generic copy paper (20lb Bond) up to high-quality magazine pages (100lb Gloss Text).
Cover Stock is thick cardstock, used for book covers, business cards, and postcards. 10pt to 16pt are common thicknesses.
Coating Options
- Gloss: Shiny and reflective. Makes colors pop. Great for photos and comics.
- Matte: subtle sheen, smooth texture. Professional and glare-free.
- Uncoated: Natural paper feel. Best for journals or books you need to write in.
